Travis Barker likes staying busy. Blink-182 might be having some downtime right now following the release of their 2023 album ONE MORE TIME... and subsequent tour, but the drummer's still making new music. During a recent video interview with Reverb, Barker revealed that he's not only producing but also playing drums on Yellowcard's new album.
"This is my main kit. I've tried all different variations; nothing beats this stainless steel DW. It's ridiculous," he said, showing off a stainless steel DW drum kit from his studio. Barker went on to list a few albums that also feature that kit, including blink-182's most recent and Machine Gun Kelly's Lonely Road.
"I just did the entire new Yellowcard album on this," he added.
Yellowcard have yet to announce the album Barker's talking about. Their last album was 2024's A Hopeful Sign, which was a collaborative project with Hammock. Their last studio album was 2016's Yellowcard.
Blink-182 is taking a break from performing; however, they're slated to headline a few festivals this fall: Shaky Knees in Atlanta on Septembe 21, Aftershock in Sacramento, California on October 2, and When We Were Young in Las Vegas on October 18 and 19. Yellowcard is also set to play When We Were Young.
