My Chemical Romance have broken their silence after the tragic news came out that their former drummer Bob Bryar passed away. They shared a tribute to their late bandmate on Instagram.
"It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Bob Bryar, our former bandmate and an important part of the history of My Chemical Romance," the band wrote alongside a photo of Bryar. "We send our deepest condolences to his friends and family at this time. May he rest in peace."
Bryar joined the MCR lineup in 2004, replacing Matt Pelisser after the release of Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. He was featured on their iconic 2006 album The Black Parade and also helped write their last album, 2010's Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, but left the band before its release. Sadly, news of his passing came just weeks after the band unveiled a massive 2025 stadium tour to celebrate The Black Parade.
The drummer was found dead inside his home in Tennessee on November 26 and was last seen alive on November 4. Although Bryar's cause of death has yet to be revealed, TMZ reports that foul play is not suspected. He was 44 years old.
